CM Tooltip Guide: Avoid Glossary Parsing

The user guide has moved to a new location

By default, the CM tooltip glossary plugin parses all of your posts and pages to find and highlight the defined terms that appear in your content.
However, there may be some cases where you to avoid glossary parsing on certain sections of your page or post.

There are 2 ways to avoid glossary parsing:

  • To avoid parsing parts of pages or posts, wrap the term with the shortcode. For example – —paragraph text== . The paragraph surrounded by the shortcode, will not highlight any of the terms it contains.
  • Another option is to check the box “Avoid parsing protected tags” in the plugin’s settings, which will prevent the plugin from parsing Script sections such as A, H1, H2, H3, PRE, Objects and tags content
